During the World Social Forum, in the streets of Dakar, a human sea of some 50, 000 people chanted and marched for, among other things, peace, justice, better access to education and health. A handful of people could also be seen holding signs of solidarity with the people of Egypt saying messages like: "Egypte, on entend ta voix. Ton Heure. Ton choix." or "Senegal - Egypte. Since January 25, Egypt is currently in the midst of a popular uprising against the authoritarian regime of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak. (Who has been in power for the past 30 years!)
