CALL FOR BLOGGERS

- 3 professional bloggers
- volunteer bloggers to trigger discussion

CIVICUS is recruiting volunteer bloggers for its 9th World Assembly – Acting Together for a Just World, held in Montreal on 20-23 of August 2010. CIVICUS is an international alliance dedicated to strengthening citizen action and civil society throughout the world.

For its Web 2.0 strategy, CIVICUS is looking for professional and volunteer bloggers to help generate ‘buzz’ and circulate content related to the World Assembly’s themes and panels. Bloggers will cover the issues of Economic Justice, Development Effectiveness, Climate Justice, and Social Media. Content, posted to the blogs and to the CitizenShift /Parole citoyenne websites and disseminated through social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, will be aimed at raising awareness, posing questions and instigating discussion. Bloggers will be active from mid July to just after the event towards the end of August, 2010.

Bloggers must be skilled writers in French, English or Spanish, and show strong interest in the themes and topics to be discussed at the 2010 World Assembly. All the selected bloggers will get free access to the complete program of the World Assembly and professional bloggers will benefit a per diem.

For more information on CIVICUS or the World Assembly, visit the Assembly website.
