The people of Southern Sudan suffered immensely during the war. Out of a population of 15 million people, 2 million were killed and 4 million became internationally displaced persons, either as refugees or worse, being taken as slaves by the Arabs from the Northern part of Sudan. In 2005, the two adversaries signed a comprehensive peace agreement, bringing an end to the longest running civil war in modern history.
 
Imagelab is small company wanting to do great things.The issue for countries like Sudan is not so much about access to digital technology but about the benefits derived from access. One of the projects we have is to produce music videos for Southern Sudanese artists and sell it on the Internet. 
 
We published two music videos om Youtube with a very low budget, limited resources and no marketing and have garnered more than 20 000 views. We have received positive feedback and will proceed with publishing a Music/Documentary combo DVD soon.
