Subject: Project Media Week One

Hi folks,

... Our orientation week went well. It was pretty intense because we were gathering a lot of 'entry' info. This involved filling in a lot of surveys and questionnaires.
 
 We have an extremely motivated and creative group: 5 males (two 16year olds, one 17year old, one 18year old and one 28yeaer old.), and 1 female (19 years old).
 
 We went over the objectives of the project, met with the video and radio facilitators, Phyllis Lewis and Janice Dayle, and our roving coordinator, Tia Dayle (new mother of princess Nala).
 
We did some group cohesion activities, for example: planned a menu, shopped for the food and cooked a meal collectively. The meal had to include something green, orange and red. Each participant was responsible for an item on the menu. The result?...
